Marquise is known for her dark vintage, glamorous style and her unique ability to combine classic Burlesque and old school sideshow skills in her performances.

Past

In 2011 Marlo Marquise opened a photo studio, event space and production company in Downtown LA called "House Of Virtue", which featured famed musicians, artists, and other performers from around the world. Prior to this she was the creator and producer of a Fetish themed Burlesque show in NYC "Shame & Ecstasy", which featured New York City's most famed Burlesque stars and circus performers creating custom acts for each monthly show.

Present

Marlo Marquise currently resides in New York, NY but is constantly traveling all over the world. Ms. Marquise has collected many titles throughout her career ranging from Model, Performer of Burlesque, Sideshow ( Fire Eating, Glass Walking, Human Pin Cushion, Sword Swallowing), Hook Suspension Artist, Painter, Producer of events and variety shows.  Marlo Marquise is currently a featured performer in the filming of a Burlesque positive documentary called "Burlesque: A Reemergence" by Marble Step.  Her performance has also been featured in a scene with her Suspension partner Steve Truitt in the feature length film "Dead Billy" -currently in production.

Her most recent projects include Co-Producing the show "Cabinet of Curiosities" with her co-producer famed Magician Matthew Holtzclaw, and performing Hook Suspension shows internationally with her world renowned suspension and performance partner Steve Truitt of Ascension Body Modification.

"Cabinet of Curiosities" offers a selection of mind-blowing magic, breath taking carnival stunts, and elements of stunning striptease.  Hosted by the newly opened "Kingston Hall" in Manhattan, a vintage style cabana filled with antiques, specialty cocktails, and classic decore.

Marquise and Holtzclaw are also available as a duo for private parties and corporate events as "Soirée Bizarre".  Both PG and PG-13 versions of Soirée Bizarre are available. No two events are alike and Matthew and Marlo are happy to customize their performance to your needs.

Steve Truitt and Marlo Marquise have teamed up to bring you new, revolutionary acts of Hook Suspension in all varieties.  Featuring daring feats and themed performances with fire, body piercing, sideshow, burlesque and suspension with a touch of glamour.  Truitt and Marquise are available for high end events and special projects only.

Future

The future is bright and glamorous for Marquise.  Aside from new shows being produced at the hands of the macabre showgirl, and continuing her stage presence, she also has her hands in the skill of fashion design.  In 2012 the brand "Marquise Lapin" was born with the tagline “Fashion for the Aesthetic Fetishist”.  The mission statement:

"Marquise Lapin, a gothic couture New York based designer label, incorporates the dark sultry avant-garde with a vintage fetish curve, providing a palatable glamorous yet edgy style for the average Jane, and the fashion fanatic.

Bringing you high-end quality pieces, Marquise Lapin symbolizes the relationship between an underground taboo community and lifestyle with the mainstream, vibrant glamour of accepted high-end fashion.

Marquise Lapin seeks to combine the new and old fetish fashions for Men and Women with vintage, modern and macabre glamour to create a unique design in every stitch. A couture style that is more affordable, but deliciously sleek and daringly diverse."

Marquise Lapin clothing and accessories are due to be released in late 2013/ early 2014.
